Alaska Quarterly Review
American Dreams, with Lyrics by Lois Wal

Lois' non-fiction short story, Lynn Kaufman, was published by The Alaska Quarterly Review. The story is one of the collection she is currently working on that will eventually become a memoir.

Lois also wrote  the lyrics for American Dreams Lost and Found,  performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, NYC in 2003 & based on the book by Studs Terkel.

New Work

Lois is currently working on a collection of biographical essays for her forthcoming memoir, TERMINAL.

She recently spoke with Radio Free Rhinecliff's Allison Chawla about her newfound calling as a hospice volunteer & death doula - a calling very much intertwined with her writing process:

Lois' new play TWO HANDER - written with Barry Kleinbort was showcased at Durango Playfest. Directed by the wonderful Sheryl Kaller, and starring Emily Swallow & Matt Sullivan.

Lois & Friends from High School Yearbook

One of  the most rewarding writing projects for Lois is the work she did for High School Yearbook - a community of teens and young adults with cancer supporting each other.
